Our Process
Residential Projects |

The Customer provides Granex Industries with a drawing indicating the size and placement of all countertops and a completed Quote Detail Form (QDF). The (QDF) contains information specific to the job including stone selection, preferred edge detail, sink style if applicable, and stove style if applicable. It also indicates if splashes are to be included, all relevant contact information, and the job site address.

Granex provides the customer a quote based on the drawing and completed QDF.

The Customer visits Granex to approve material to be used for their job. If a new stone is selected, Granex will provide an amended quote based on the new selection.
* Customers who have not completed a QDF or provided a drawing are more than welcome to visit our facility at anytime during normal business hours to view our stone inventory. |

The Customer signs the approved quote/contract and provides Granex with the appropriate deposit. (We cannot schedule a template without a signed contract and deposit). |

Granex Industries schedules the template/field measure and installation with the customer. A template/field measure will only be scheduled after all of the following have taken place:
- Customer signs the quote/contract
- Customer provides the appropriate deposit
- Customer confirms base cabinets are installed and secured if stone is to be placed on new cabinetry
- Customer confirms countertops are removed if stone is to be placed on existing cabinetry
- Customer confirms all the following items are on the job site the day of the template/field measure: sink, cooktop, down draft, faucets, soap dispenser, hot water call, or any other device for which a hole will be drilled. The failure to have these items on site the day of the template/field measure may result in project delays and additional cost.

The day of the template/field measure the home owner (or a fully authorized decision-maker over the age of 18) MUST be present during the entire process. This person will have to answer questions regarding seam placement, corner treatments, overhangs and all other specific details concerning the job. This individual will sign our field measure check list confirming all aspects of the work to be done. |

Granex will compare all details obtained during the field measure with the original quote. If the measurements do not match the dimensions provided for the initial quote, the price of the job will be amended accordingly. |

Granex Industries will return to the job site at the scheduled installation date to install the stone countertops. The home owner (or a fully authorized decision-maker over the age of 18) MUST be present during the entire installation process. Upon completion of the job, this individual will review the finished work with the installer and ensure the job is complete and meets expectations.

Seaming:
Although the customer is consulted with regards to the seam location, the final decision is at the discretion of our installers. Seams will typically vary from 1/16” to 1/8” and will be visible to the eye or touch. Color coordinated epoxy will be used to form the seam and blend in with the countertop.
Job Site Preparation:
While we take all reasonable precautions to maintain a clean working environment, the home owner is encouraged to cover floors with cardboard or drop clothes, remove pots and pans from existing cabinets, and if possible put up a sheet or plastic sheeting to separate work spaces from other rooms.
Clean-up:
Installation of countertops is a construction process and residual dust should be expected. The customer may want to cover areas to contain the dust to the construction area.
